I Like To Watch Too
“I Like To Watch Too” is a special dance-performance event in Paradiso, Amsterdam in collaboration with the Julidans Festival. Suzy Blok is artistic director of this unique happening in which performances, installations, dance-films (in collaboration with Cinedans) and unexpected ‘pop-up performances’ lead the audience through every corner of the building during one evening and night.
The expressivity of the body, this year’s theme of I Like to Watch Too will be explored in all its rawness, poetry and sensuality. Each of the performers will divulge a social, cultural, political or otherwise personal context to this theme.
I Like to Watch Too provides the possibility to keep abreast of developments on the (inter)national dance circuit. During the course of the evening, I Like to Watch Too will extend into I Like to Watch and Dance Too, incorporating DJ’s and VJ’s as part of the performances.
Some of the performers to be seen are: Alexandra Bachzetsis, Olivier Dubois, Kelly Hirina, Doron Hirsch, Rosana Hribar & Gregor Luštek, Roser López Espinosa, Gabriella Maiorino, Marije Nie, POGOensemble, T.r.a.s.h., Ederson R. Xavier and others.
Pop-ups - short surprise performances throughout the building by: Corneliu Ganea, Reinier Schimmel and others.
Your hosts for the evening will be: Corneliu Ganea, Kelly Hirina, Inken Landskröner, Mouna Laroussi, Reinier Schimmel and Rafael Zielinski.
The Dance-film program has been organized together with Cinedans.
I Like To Watch & Dance Too features Kareem Raïhani, DJ Chaos, DJ One man & Lies party, Mosfet Visualists, The SwingCats, POGOensemble, Olivier Dubois, Trippin Angels and others.
